She took the time to explain things to me (I wish I remembered her name ). I got food, a couple of items, my first time trying, and it was very good. “ Curiosity got the best of me, and I finally gave a shot. First and foremost, great service. Second, they have a bar, so that is always a plus in my books. Salsa has a really good flavor, and it has spice the more you eat. The french fries were cooked perfectly as well as the fish my kindergartener asked for. The location might not be the best, but the inside of this joint speaks for itself. It's fresh and super clean. The food was great, but it gets a 4 from me simply because my mango margarita lacked some sweetness, and although the red sauce on our burritos was not overwhelming, the burrito the flavor wasn't 100%. I'm going to go back and try the rest of the menu. My 4th grader ordered the green enchiladas, and sauce was perfect. Rice had a good flavor as well. ”

“ Don't let the area scare you away! The little hole in the wall are always the best! My family and I have Sunday dinners. This last Sunday no one felt like cooking so I researched and found this place. The inside looks nice and clean. When we arrived there was just a to go order waiting. By the time we left there were 5-6 more tables. I don't believe they get busy because of the area. It's really sad, especially if you are from Bakersfield and have seen this area go from what use to look like the SW to what it looks like today. Besides my grandma use to live right around the corner. The food was great. And because I think they don't get busy they only had one waitress, and she was great! ”

My Tasty chicken enchiladas ranchera hit all the good notes. Crispy fresh chips and their delicious salsa. You feel like you are being served in someone's home. One of our go to spots in town. ”
